Riding Lessons
Lessons are given 6 days a week both for children and adults, either individually or in small groups in flat work, show jumping, and cross-country. We can take the lesson in Welsh if you would prefer – please state this when making your booking.
We do lead rein walks for children aged 4 years up – a parent or guardian must accompany small children.
30 minute and 45 minute private lessons are available in the indoor and outdoor arena or show jumping in the field in the summer.
We do lessons around the Cross Country course, in a group or privately if you prefer.
We have weekly group lessons which can be flatwork or jumping; if you have not got a group don’t worry give us a ring and we will try to fit you in to a group to suit your level.
Leisure Riding
All types of leisure riding are offered from half hour lead rein walks for small children (minimum of 4 years old) on quiet ponies, through to the more exciting one and two & half hour hacks for competent riders.
We can take lead rein sessions through the medium of Welsh if you would prefer this- please state this when making your booking.
We can arrange all-day rides, riding through the mysterious Cambrian mountains steeped in history. This is only for our regular riders here at Rheidol who we know well and will need prior arrangement.
Obviously riders must be fully competent and fit. Safety helmets are provided free of charge, body protectors may be hired.
Pony Club
We are an active Pony Club Centre holding weekly sessions for our members.
Sessions are held Tuesday – Friday 4pm-6pm and also a Saturday 10am-12pm and 3pm-5pm. The 2 hours include 1 hour of riding and 1 hour of stable management. Plenty of groups to suit the range of ages of our many members.
In our weekly sessions we work towards the Pony Club Tests and also the various badges.
As well as our weekly sessions, members are encouraged to take part in extra opportunities such as Pony Club Mounted Games, and competing in Pony Club competitions whether that be Dressage, Show jumping, Cross-country or again, Mounted Games.
